Entry Audit
Six questions, no account, nothing sent anywhere. It works out which of the four layers is still open at each opening you have, and gives you the work in an order that puts the free measures first.
Of the 24 actions it can produce, 14 cost nothing at all. That ratio is the point of the tool: most of what changes an outcome at a door is not a purchase.

The rules it runs
- A layer counts as covered only when something you selected under “what is already there” covers that layer at that entry point, according to the coverage table below. Nothing else marks a layer covered.
- Every layer that is not covered produces exactly one action, so the number of actions equals the number of open layers across the entry points you selected.
- Actions that cost nothing are listed before actions that cost money. Within each group, actions follow the order of the entry points you selected, and then the order Deter, Detect, Delay, Document.
- If you rent, or if your home is an apartment, any action that would leave a permanent change is replaced by its reversible alternative and marked as swapped.
- If your home is an apartment, the entrance door is treated as possibly fire-rated and a caution is added, because drilling a rated door can void the rating it was certified with.
- If any action in your list restricts an opening from the inside, an escape note is added and it links to the escape routes page.
What counts as covered
This is the whole of the coverage logic. Nothing else marks a layer as closed.

What it does not know
- It does not know your door, your frame, your lease or your building, and none of those can be inferred from six questions.
- It does not rank anything by how likely a break-in is, because nothing on a website can estimate that for your address.
- It treats “a deadbolt” as present or absent and cannot tell whether the one you have engages the frame properly.
- It says nothing about alarms, monitoring services or insurance requirements, none of which this site covers.
